OneHeavy is independently run by Josef Den Dunnen, a heavy music fan based in Adelaide, Australia. Every editorial piece on the site is written by Josef in his own voice. The site exists because the Australian and global heavy music scenes deserve a publication that takes them as seriously as the music itself does.
OneHeavy is not backed by any record label, venue, promoter or industry body. It is a genuine independent publication funded by reader support via Ko-fi, modest affiliate partnerships (notably Amazon Associates) and the goodwill of the metal community.
